Leadership
ESTC was founded by managing partners, Eileen Williams and Cliff Simpson in 2006. Eileen’s operational and training expertise, in combination with Cliff’s practical, hands-on experience, means ESTC is uniquely qualified to manage health and safety at world-class events.

Eileen Williams, Founder and Managing Director
Eileen has over 20 years experience in adult education, staff development, operations and event management. She has a wide array of qualifications in a variety of disciplines from teaching and assessing to door supervision and event management. As Managing Director of ESTC, Eileen is responsible for developing the strategic vision for the company and is instrumental in securing work for many high-profile clients and global events.

Cliff Simpson, Founder and Managing Director
Cliff began his career working for the Cheshire Fire Brigade. A serious knee and back injury forced Cliff to retire from the fire service at a relatively young age. In the wake of the disaster at Hillsborough where 93 spectators were crushed to death at a football match, Cliff joined the Crewe Alexandra Football club. After a short stint as a safety officer, Cliff was promoted to the role of Stadium Operations Manager, this is where he gained invaluable knowledge and experience in health and safety management.
